OVERVIEW:

Market segments include Healthcare, Science + Technology, Sports + Entertainment, Academic, Cultural and Government. Given the firm’s planned growth and success they are seeking to identify an Architectural Designer to play a key role in their growing NYC office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Architectural Designer will have exceptional design skills, a portfolio of innovative design solutions, and an emphasis on built work. S/he will work in collaboration with studio and firm leadership as well as junior staff in the creation and development of overall design concepts, formulate design presentation strategies and provide creative and process leadership to design teams through all phases of projects. The Architectural Designer will coordinate relationships with design, development and construction professionals to ensure integrated design concepts, provide programmatic and spatial feasibility studies for potential new build and conversion developments, and review + approve design documents, performing design reviews at various stages of the project.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor or Master’s of Architecture Degree
- 7 – 10 years design experience on projects of varying size and complexities.
- Healthcare, Institutional, Corporate/Commercial experience preferred
- REVIT and AutoCAD proficiency
- Management experience in architectural practice in leading project teams Construction documentation and/or design detail development experience
- Previous experience creating and developing overall design concepts and formulating design presentation strategies
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Outstanding graphic presentation skills
- Knowledge of building codes and structures
- Full knowledge of architectural principles and practices
- Excellent communication and management skills
